In …However using handbrake i can adjust the quality. for intel av1, the quality settings dont matter much because the hardware encoder is very fast, but i was testing using a throttle laptop. So with a throttle CPU it took 12 hours for software, 8 hours for intel av1 with the CPU still needing to do filters.Useful trash for when you need to go insanely fast and or need your CPU for other things. Looks like Intel's hardware AV1 encoder is pretty similar to x264 in overall performance, in somewhere between medium and very slow settings depending on content. That's a phenomenal achievement for a fixed function ASIC encoder.
